"Louis Copt Paints Kansas"

FInal Friday. Friday, July 26, 2024

5:00 PM 9:00 PM

Cider Gallery

810 Pennsylvania StLawrence, KS, 66044

This show can be considered a "retrospective" in the sense there will be a number of paintings from several periods in my career.

Some works are brand new and some were done over 20 years ago. The paintings are what I would call "classic" as they represent my vision of Kansas in a very traditional and realistic way. Many of these paintings have been in storage and will be exhibited for the first time. All will be for sale and will include prairie fire, barns, the Flint Hills and rural scenes. I am excited to have this opportunity to share my work both old and new.

"Fuel for the Imagination"

Original oil painting now for sale. 28”x22”, oil on canvas, 2022. Please go to my “Works for Sale” page. Fans of my barn paintings might enjoy my latest locally inspired work. I was commissioned to create "Fuel for the Imagination" recently for the Lawrence Public Library. A high-quality print of the painting can be yours for a donation to the Library. They turned out great! I was honored to support the Lawrence Public Library in this way. See details at https://library-landscapes.square.site
